What my children will eat

#1 child (the picky eater) will eat :

- plain pasta with cheese or butter or homemade mac’n'cheese

- plain chicken, meat or pork (sometimes he’ll eat it if its got sauce/spices on it but not usually)

- rice (but just a little bit)

- potatoes (but not the skin and not if they are too crunchy)

- fruit (melon, grapes, strawberries (just !), pineapple, apple, banana, pear, canned peaches and pears)

- vegetables (peas, corn, broccoli, cauliflower)

- salad (cucumber and lettuce, sometimes)

- dairy (cheese, yoghurt – plan vanilla or strawberry with no bits in it)

- drinks – apple juice, milk and water but nothing with “bubbles”

- doesn’t like any kind of lollies other than snakes and chocolate

- likes ice-cream and is now trying new flavours, but prefers chocolate or vanilla

Child #2 (who is obsessed with food) will eat almost anything. He’ll always try new foods and loves salad stuff – raw carrot, capsicum, cucumber – and fruit. He’s a big fan of anything in the squash family (pumpkin, butternut squash etc) and loves pasta (but he’ll eat the tomato pasta sauce too). He likes curry and spicy food (he’ll say “this is spicy” but then keep on eating. There are very few things he doesn’t like. He will drink almost anything (including sour stuff like grapefruit juice and soft drinks). Likes the bright coloured ice cream, like bubblegum flavour.

Welcome

So, along with my obsession for reading (see waterfallofthought.wordpress.com), I love to cook and try new recipes. So, here they are …. the things we eat, week to week …
